Growing up I used to love The Wizard of Oz. I dearly loved all the characters, but especially the Tin Man. All he really wanted was to have a heart.
Love does not have to be a drunken feeling of carefree bliss. As a man who grew up in the 80s, that state of being does not seem to fit together with the strong, confident, and macho role models I had.
Music can help bring our bodies, hearts and minds together through great lyrics combined with the visceral experience of musical notes and harmonies as the penetrate us.
How is it that unconnected societies around the world all share similar stories? The characters and their journey’s may vary, but the message behind them all seem to point in the same direction.
The internet seems to be an infinite source of information that we can search quickly for access to just about anything we want to know. The unconscious has always existed and was certainly there before the cloud and the internet.
I like to think of the unconscious as a larger part of “the whole” and consciousness is a small window that gives us access to it. We know through science that the spectrum of light is vast, yet there is only a very small slice that is visible to the human eye.
“There is and always has been only one spiritual teaching.” This quote by Eckhart Tolle in the Power of Now resonates deeply within me. What is that one teaching?
